Pamela Anderson Toning down her look

Pamela Anderson has graced the cover of Playboy a record 11 times, but the ’90s pinup girl says she’s always been insecure about her looks. “I don’t know if I ever really felt beautiful,” the 45-year-old Baywatch babe tells “I always feel like I don’t I don’t, really.”

The actress and activist  who lists Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot and Marilyn Monroe as her style and beauty icons says people have been trying to downplay her looks since her career began. Baywatch producers, for instance, asked the buxom blonde to stop wearing false eyelashes on camera. “I said, ‘I have my look. This is what I’m comfortable in.’ Sometimes my eyelashes would roll up onto the beach and that’s all that would be left of me. But I was determined to be glamorous. Oh, I loved it, I loved it!”

“I thought, ‘If you’re going to be on TV, and if you’re gonna be out and glamorous, the natural look can stay at home. If we’re gonna do this, let’s have fun with it!'” she added. “I actually just did a shoot, and they took all the makeup off and put me in a ponytail, and I said, ‘Well, OK, we’ll try that.”

The former Dancing With the Stars competitor says she’s softening her look now that she’s in the midst of her forties. “I don’t know if it’s because I’m so hot, but they definitely try to tone down my sex appeal,” she tells  “I think it’s time, though — you know, you grow up and you change your look. I feel different from how I did in my Playboy days. Now, I think I’m in charge of toning down my look or not.

The Californian home holds plenty of memories for Pamela, who has lived there since being married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee.   Pamela and Tommy divorced in 1998, and she continued living there with their sons Brandon, 16, and 15-year-old Dylan.

She’s Still got it!

Her knockout figure was the most celebrated of the 1990s.

And twenty years later it seems that Pamela Anderson still has the ability to wow, ensuring that all eyes were on her at a beauty fair in Germany last week, wearing a skintight white dress.   The former Baywatch star made sure that she was centre of attention as she promoted make-up brand Alessandro International, drawing the crowds with the eye-popping outfit.

Just a few weeks after returning to the UK for the Dancing On Ice final, the star was back in Europe for her promotional duties.   Pamela looked like she was trying to recapture her 1990’s image as she slipped into the curve-enhancing bandeau dress.

She went bare-legged for the event, showing off her light tan, and clearly felt confident enough to go without a jacket or cover-up.   The actress matched the dress with a pair of towering beige open-toe stilettos, revealing her well manicured feet and splash of red nail polish.   She wore the same colour on her hands but kept the rest of her make-up relatively neutral, keeping the focus in the polish that she was promoting.

The mother-of-two also decided against wearing any jewellery, only adding to the impact of the knockout dress and highlighting her barbed wire tattoo.   Pamela has recently put her three bedroom Malibu property on the market, which she’s owned for  over a decade and spent a lot of time and money renovating.   The plush pad has been put up for $7.7 million, while the star originally bought the property  back in 100 for $1.8 million.
