Sookie’s Back!

True Blood fans will be excited to see that Sookie is back in action.

Six months after giving birth to twins with co-star and Husband Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin has returned to work to shoot season 6 on location in Los Angeles.

The 30 year old actress was joined by British actor Robert Kazinsky 29 on Tuesday who has been snapped up to play Sookie’s new love interest.

TVLine reports Kazinsky has been recruited as a cast regular and will provide some  fresh blood for Sookie , who has been caught in a love triangle between Bill (Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) for the past five seasons.

Kazinsky will play Ben , a fellow faerie to Sookie , who helps her and brother Jason (Ryan Kwanten) unravel the mystery surrounding their parent’s murders.

His biggest role Stateside before True Blood was that of a doctor on Brothers & Sisters.

But Kazinsky 29 will be best know in the uk as Sean Slater from BBC soap Eastenders.

Kazinsky is no stranger to controversy, though, and was suspended from the British
show for two months in March 2007 for bombarding a model with obscene text messages and photographs.

The actor was forced into a public apology at the time and eventually quit the show towards the end of 2008.
He is not the only new cast member for True Blood Season 6, though.

Dutch actor Rutger Haueris, best known for his iconic roles in Blade Runner and The Hitcher, is also joining the vampire show.   The show’s producers have kept tight lipped about who – or what – his character  is, revealing only that his name is Macklyn.

Macklyn is said to be closely connected to the show’s main characters, siblings Sookie and Jason Stackhouse.

Fans have been excitedly discussing the arrival of the new cast member since Rutger was announced as having signed up to the show in November last year.

Some believe that his character is Macklyn Warlow, the person responsible  for killing Sookie and Jason’s parents, which if true, would make him a dangerous vampire.

In series five of True Blood, fans saw Sookie discover her parents hadn’t been killed in a flash flood but by a vampire after she asks some faeries to  help her uncover the truth about the past.

Things take an even nastier turn when an ancient manuscript reveals that one  of Sookie’s ancestors made a deal with the murderous vampire centuries before.

In the dusty contract, it states that the first fae-bearing female in the Stackhouse line will belong to Warlow – which unfortunately for Sookie, is her.
