Ellen DeGeneres purchases $26.5 million Montecito mansion!

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have just added a new jewel to their collection of worthy homes.

According to TMZ, the 55-year-old talk show host and 40-year-old actress have just dropped $26.5 million on a massive and breathtaking mansion in Montecito, the exclusive and pricey area over-looking the Pacific just outside of Santa Barbara, California.

The deal reportedly went down last week for the house, which is 10,522 square feet and sits on a whopping 13 acres of some of the most scenic and pricey coastal real estate in California.

It features six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and nice fireplaces and ocean views from most places in the house.

Taking The Plunge!

Her character Dory was one of the most beloved characters in Finding Nemo.   And now Ellen DeGeneres has confirmed she is to reprise her role in a sequel which will focus on the Pacific regal blue tang.   The daytime talk show doyen joked she was only a ‘contender’ to reprise her role when the film was announced on Tuesday, before revealing the full plan to make Finding Dory.

The comedienne said: ‘Today, I am proud to officially announce that Pixar is making a sequel to Finding Nemo.   ‘Here’s the good news – They say I’m one of the 5 top contenders to play the part of Dory.

‘No, I will be Dory again, which is the most fun in the world.  Actually the entire sequel is about Dory. The name of the movie is Finding Dory.   ‘So kids, let that be a lesson to you – Anything is possible if you’re patient and you beg hard enough on national television.

#I’m excited that it’s finally happening.  I read the script and it’s fantastic, it’s hilarious,  it’s warm, it’s everything that you want it to be.

‘But the thing about those movies – They’re brilliant and they take a long time to make.  So, it won’t be in theaters until 2015.’   She also gave a run down about how she was frequently left disappointed by Pixar bosses whenever she brought up the subject on whether a sequel would be made.

Ellen said: ‘Wherever I go, people are always asking me about Finding Nemo and are they gonna  make a  Finding Nemo 2.  And I didn’t realize it, but I guess I’ve mentioned it on the show once or twice.

‘So I mentioned it a couple times.  But I’m a positive, patient person.  And I know that when you have a successful movie, usually they make a sequel.

‘So I waited and I waited.  And finally I got the call from the director, Andrew Stanton-who  I love very much, a very talented man– telling me yes indeed they are gonna make Toy Story 3.   ‘And I said hooray for Tom Hanks.  Finally something good for him.

‘So then I waited some more, knowing that one day Andrew Stanton—who I love very much– would  call again.  And then not too long ago, he called.  He said, “Ellen, the rumors are true.  We’re gonna go ahead and make Cars 2.   ‘I wasn’t mad.  I was furious.  But I really believed that one day it would happen.’

And now she finally has a sequel in the works she said she is now planning her next big campaign for her hit daytime show.   The funnywoman said: ‘Only one million, three hundred ninety-five thousand, and three hundred  and sixty-two minutes to go.   ‘But for now, I can start my next campaign – When are they gonna make Finding Dory 2?’

Reese isn’t only one who’s gone Brunette

Ellen DeGeneres showed her solidarity with Reese Witherspoon, who recently swapped her signature blonde hair colour for a dark new look.

The comedienne tweeted a snap of herself sporting freshly dyed brown hair next to a Photoshopped image of the Legally Blonde star’s updated ‘do.   Although, Ellen’s hair colour could just be a belated April Fool’s prank as the tweeted snap arrived late in the evening of April 1.

Either way the famously blonde television host was clearly enjoying her new auburn locks.   The 55-year-old accompanied her light hearted image with the caption: ‘Reese Witherspoon isn’t the only one who’s gone brunette.’   Ellen was referring to the mass attention 37-year-old Reese received over the weekend for dying her hair – and it appeared that the veteran stand-up comic wanted in on the attention.   Reese’s unveiling of the change occurred on an outing with her son Tennessee in Nashville.   But the actress – who was in a more casual mode for the family lunch – did not give her brunette debut the star treatment it deserved.   Instead, the mother-of-three sported a messy bun as she carried her blonde boy in her arms.

Ellen tweeted the tongue-in-cheek snap regarding Reese fresh off the heels of her recent tour of Australia.   She was visiting the country on business, as The Ellen DeGeneres Show was filming some special  episodes in Sydney and in Melbourne.

Ellen was clearly taken with the Commonwealth, and even suggested she’s considering calling it home.

While taping her show in Melbourne, she said: ‘I shouldn’t put it out there but I can see us living here one day.’

‘I’m moving here; it’s so beautiful,’ she continued.   And a week ago the funny woman tweeted: ‘I had heard Aussies were incredible people, but this week I experienced it for myself. Thank you, Australia…’

A Very friendly Farewell!

He has always had great success with the ladies. And Colin Farrwell showed the old charm is still there
as he gave a mystery woman a goodbye hug at a Los Angeles hotel on Monday.

The lady who bore a slight resemblance to his Playboy ex Nicole Narain wore a skimpy
blue dress that surely caught the former line dancing instructor’s eye. Last year the Irish favourite appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show and begged for tips on how to bag himself a girlfriend.
“I dont have a type. A human being,You know? I suppose kindness is kind of nice and sexy’

And it seems persistence has paid off in the end for the former Ballykissangel star , Who looked dressed down in a green combat jacket , T-shirt and jeans.

Colin is currently taking a break from filming his latest project Winter’s Tale so he
can promote revenge flick Dead Man Down , Which opens on March 8.
