It’s difficult dating on the show!

There have been many ups and downs in the relationship department over the five series that E4’s hit reality show Made In Chelsea has been on air.   But aside from a brief dalliance with co-star Jamie Laing, MIC star Binky Felstead has yet to see a relationship blossom on the small screen – which suits her just fine.   Appearing on This Morning on Tuesday, the 23-year-old television personality confessed to Philip Schofeild and Holly Willoughby that she isn’t looking to find love in front of the cameras, telling the presenters it would be too ‘difficult’ to have her love life played out in front of the nation.

‘I’m single and going to see what happens, really,’ she said on the daytime show before revealing why she would shy away from the cameras should she find someone she wants to settle down with.

‘It’s quite difficult dating someone on the show. You’ve got the lights on you and it’s a bit intense.’   She went on to explain that she would rather date someone off-screen, like her friend and co-star Millie Mackintosh (who is now engaged to Professor Green), and revealed she has enjoyed a secret relationship in the past – but this was met with different problems.

‘I’ve had a relationship off the show and it was hard because they didn’t understand… It’s nice to have something private, but then they will get found out.’   The star also revealed that jealousy can be a result of a relationship with someone not involved in the show before saying again it would be too ‘difficult’ to date someone on it.   She was joined on the famous sofa by fellow MIC stars Jamie Laing and Lucy Watson.   Rounding on Lucy, presenter Holly asked why she felt it was necessary to be rude to so many of the other cast members, pointing out her major contribution to the show is stirring up trouble.

try and be as honest and direct as possible. I think honesty is key,’ the dark haired socialite said, defending her actions – while Jamie offered an alternative view suggesting Lucy was simply ‘socially stupid’ (charming!)

The McVitie’s heir was mortified to hear that his friend on the show, Francis Boulle, was Holly’s favourite character out of the cast.   The presenter tried to soften the blow by telling him, ‘You’re very sweet – but you’re far too naughty with the ladies, I’m afraid.’   Indeed Jamie has recently found himself in an awkward position on the show after chasing Lucy and fellow star Phoebe, despite having a girlfriend named Tara for six months.

At the beginning of the segment, Holly and Phil lampooned the BAFTA nominated show, spoofing one of the awkwardly long pauses that has made the TV series such a success.   ‘But you knew she was my friend,’ announced Holly as cameras panned back to the pair after some video content from the show.   ‘Awkward,’ she added before Phil comically mimed some strained silence.   Philip remained silent for the vast majority of the interview to allow self-confessed MIC addict Holly to lead the segment – only really raising interest in Jamie’s great grandfather who invented the humble digestive biscuit.

Mille Mackintosh shows off her new Mercedes

Millie Mackintosh tweeted an Instagram photo of her new baby on Saturday.   But far from having a bun in the oven, the Made In Chelsea star is revving her engines, in a Mercedes Benz sports car.   Similar to her fiancé Professor Green’s SLS-Class, Millie opted for a SLK-Class Coupé, that has an on the road price of a whopping £30,015

And now, with a Mercedes to rival her husband-to-be, maybe the beauty entrepreneur will start dropping Pro Green off to various events.   Certainly, Millie may well be the designated driver after picking up her new car, with her man tweeting his beer garden activities the same afternoon.

‘Sun and cider’ was all the Professor – real name Stephen Manderson – needed to enjoy the arrival of spring.   But whether this was a purchase by Millie or a gift from her rapper is unknown, but one thing seems certain, that this is the only ‘baby’ the couple will be welcoming any time soon.   Millie and Stephen have enough to contend with, thanks to their doggy contingent and a new house in the making.   And according to reports, a summer wedding to put together in just a few months.   Millie’s Made In Chelsea co-star, Oliver Proudlock, told OK! Online: ‘I think they will get married in the summer.’   If that is the case then 2013 will definitely Just Be Good To Green, as he is not only planning to record and release new material this year, but proudly take to the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury.   With his girl happily watching from the wings.

Mille Mackintosh Shows off engagement ring!

Reality star Millie Mackintosh and Hackney-born rapper Professor Green are engaged.

The Made In Chelsea star, 23, tweeted a snap of her dazzling engagement ring by Frost of London on Monday evening, with the touching caption: ‘If I could scream loud enough for the whole world to hear I would.’   Her ring is made up of a typically large rock set on double bands encrusted with diamonds.

Earlier in the day the brunette had shared with told her Twitter followers that her beau whisked her away to ‘her favourite restaurant in the whole wide world’ – in the famously romantic city of Paris.

The couple have been dating for over a year, after the 29-year-old Professor – real name Stephen Manderson – became enamoured by the reality star when he saw her cover shoot for FHM two years ago.

By the end of 2011 he had her number and they debuted their relationship at the BRIT Awards 2012 ceremony.   At the beginning the longevity of the union was doubted by critics who said Quality Street heiress Millie was simply after ‘a bit of rough’ with her rapper boyfriend.

His response to her acceptance to his proposal on Tuesday was just two words on Twitter: ‘Happy days.’   However, the typically jovial rapper did send his sympathies to two Hollywood starlets who would undoubtedly be rather disappointed by his new relationship status.   He tweeted: ‘Someone’s gonna have to break the news to Jessica Alba and Eva Mendez (sic)’.

Luckily the rapper’s DJ friend Lewis Richards offered to ‘look after them now.’   For Millie, some of the first people to share their congratulations were her Made In Chelsea castmates.   Francis Boulle tweeted: ‘Congratulations to @millsmackintosh and @professorgreen on their engagement. Nice ring. 😉 #Weddingbells’.   As the CEO of a jewellery company, his reference to the ring could suggest he may have helped the Professor in the selection process.   Jamie Laing was far simpler with his excited message: ‘@professorgreen @millsmackintosh congratulations guys!!!! X’.   But it seems Millie and her new fiancé may have overdone the celebrating somewhat, with the reality star tweeting on Tuesday morning: ‘Wow ive got a little bit of a headache this morning! #toomuchchampagne.’   The pair also set tongues wagging when they shared a broody picture of themselves cooing over a friend’s baby over lunch.

She said: ‘Definitely no baby, not right now. Like any girl, I know I want a family one day, but I’m really focused on work at the moment.

‘But Herby my dog has made me feel maternal. I love looking after people, but it’s a lot of responsibility. It’s like a little taste of having a first child.’   Professor Green, who split from Hollyoaks actress Candy McCulloch in November 2011, admitted he had been seeing a lot of Millie before they made their public debut, but initially said he wasn’t looking for ‘anything serious’.

When Millie met Pro Green, she was overcoming heartache herself after she discovered her boyfriend Hugo Taylor had cheated on her with best friend Rosie Fortescue.   But for the couple who have made no secret of their growing love for one another over Twitter, it was a definite fitting place for their happy announcement.
