The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes to have emergency surgery!

The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes is to undergo specialist surgery to save his voice.   Sykes, is suffering from a ‘haemorrhaging vocal cord’ the same condition that threatened to wreck singer Adele’s career.

Instead of celebrating his 20th birthday, the young star will go under the surgeon’s knife in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Syke had battled with throat issues for a while but after an appointment with a specialist, he was instructed to have almost immediate surgery.

The group’s publicist said in a statement: ‘We can confirm that The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes will under go specialist throat surgery on Thursday April 18 in Los Angeles and as such will be taking an unforeseen hiatus form The Wanted.   “The priority for Nathan, his label and management is that he is given time to recover and receive the best treatment possible.’

The operation means that Sykes won’t be able to talk for a month, let alone sing, ruling him out of recording sessions for the  band’s new album, and potentially their world tour which was due to start later this year.   And the band are also in the middle of filming a TV show for E! Entertainment in the US, with a new album scheduled to drop in early summer.

Walk Of Shame

He was spotted wearing a pair of boob glasses when he landed in Washington DC on Sunday.   And instead of toning down his look after his visit to the White House, The Wanted’s Jay McGuiness made another lewd fashion statement when the band flew home on Monday.   The 22-year-old showed up to catch his flight in a graphic T-shirt showing a scantily clad girl standing on the side of a road, with the words ‘walk of shame’ emblazoned across the front.

The cheeky pop star clearly wasn’t trying to go unnoticed, ensuring that all eyes were on him in the provocative top, although he’d managed to leave his novelty eye-wear in his luggage.

Jay, who had performed in front of President Obama and his family earlier in the day at the annual White House Easter Egg Roll, seemed happy to perpetuate his lady killer reputation in the statement T-shirt.   He paired it with a loose-fitting tan trousers and a bright red and blue checked shirt, which he left wide open so that his humourous sartorial choice was on full display.

The star pulled a blue beanie hat down over his mop of curly hair and seemed a little more sedate than he had been when he arrived.   The boys seemed a little more bleary-eyed compared to when they touched down in the capital the day before, when they were spotted laughing and joking with each other.   Clutching their passports and carrying light hand-luggage, the stars looked tired as they posed for photographs, dressed down in baggy travel clothes.

Max George wore causal black jeans and a navy hoodie, while band mate Tom Parker wore tracksuit bottoms.

After spending the day at the White House event, which saw families gather to roll Easter eggs on the lawn, it seems that the boys continued to party.   Instead of having an early night, the British singers found the time for a few drinks, as Jay  tweeted a picture of beer bottles, under the caption: ‘Three cheers!’   The boys have seem their popularity in  the US skyrocket in the last few months, and are currently filming their new reality show in Los Angeles.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chasing the sun!

The Wanted have been living the dream since filming began on their reality television show.   But some of the lads clearly haven’t been taking advantage of the superb weather in the States.   Singer Jay McGuiness was the biggest culprit as he stripped down to his swimming shorts and exposed his very pale body.

The boys were in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Bare Pool Lounge at The Mirage Hotel and Casino, but it looked like Jay had not been sunbathing in a very long time.   Surrounded by a large number of female admirers the British boy band were living up to their party hard reputation as they stood around socialising with cups of beer in their hands.   Meanwhile, Tom Parker had no issues with his tan as he showed off his well toned and tattooed body.

With the presence of alcohol at the party the boys could be forgiven for only drinking a little  bit, but Tom admitted that he doesn’t care if he is filmed being drunk.    Tom said: ‘I’m not bothered about seeing myself drunk on camera I’ve  seen it before on camera phones.

‘I know I’m a stupid drunk and I get massively too drunk but it’s a laugh. I don’t drink a lot but when I do I get absolutely off my face.’

To make sure that he looks picture perfect for his close-ups on camera, Tom has had a little a bit of work done to achieve that Hollywood smile.   He said: ‘For us we don’t really take out image too seriously. I have my teeth whitened by Dr Wyman Chan at Smile Studio London, that’s about it.’   Viewers can also expect to see a familiar face making an appearance too providing her stint in  rehab doesn’t clash with filming.   Tom told MailOnline: ‘We all get on so well with Lindsay, she’s a great girl.

‘We all have a lot of fun with her and even if things aren’t going on between her and Max she will be coming around to our house to party, absolutely.’
