Beach Babe!

She is rumoured to be ‘in the mix’ to replaced Britney Spears on the next season of X Factor USA. So perhaps that was why Kelly Rowland looked so cheerful during a recent beach outing.

The 32-year-old seemed positively giddy as she laughed while flaunting her slender legs on Miami Beach, Florida, with a group of friends on Sunday.

The Destiny’s Child star was seen lounging on a sunbed on the white sand, casually bending her legs in the air as she texted on her cellphone.

Kelly – who lives in Miami – wore a black bandeau bikini top, but opted to cover up with a long green kaftan that she just rolled down while she tanned.

The singer wore a jaunty fedora to block out the sun’s rays, and accessorised with a layered gold necklace and large white studs.

At one point, Kelly was seen sitting on the edge of her sun lounger, a huge smile on her face as she either listened to music or chatted to a friend using a hands-free kit.

She also hung out with some friends who sat with her on her sunbed, and at one point she was seen kissing a male friend on the lips as he bent over her.

Kelly clearly had lots of energy as she was then spotted jogging across the sand, laughing and calling to her friends.

It is rumoured that the star is set to join Simon Cowell on the X Factor USA – despite being booted off the UK show.

Simon, 53, remains a ‘big fan’ of the singer even though she was replaced by Nicole Scherzinger on the X Factor UK last year.

And Kelly is now ‘most definitely in the mix’ to replace Britney Spears on the third season of the Fox talent show, which airs later this year.

Kelly – who was reunited with her Destiny’s Child bandmates during Beyonce’s Super Bowl extravaganza in February – appeared as a judge on the X Factor UK in 2011.

However, her appearance was blighted by illness that kept her at home in the States for a week – prompting reports that TV bosses were unimpressed that she had even flown back to the US when she should have been mentoring her contestants in Britain.

Kelly also reportedly tried to demand that her £500,000 pay be tripled if she made a return.

Beyonce opens world tour!

If it was Beyoncé’s wish to grab the attention – and the headlines – on the opening night of her Mrs. Carter tour, she certainly succeeded.   While her bootylicious body alone is enough to catch the eye – the singer took no chances as she graced the stage in her raciest costume yet.   Beyoncé, 31, stunned concert goers in a gold sequin-encrusted bodysuit adorned with a pair of trompe l’oeil breasts – complete with protruding nipples – as she stormed the stage in Belgrade, Serbia on Monday evening.

Although the singer started her career in clothes designed by mother Tina Knowles, she enlisted the help of some famous friends while putting together the wardrobe for her latest extravaganza.   British designer Julien Macdonald designed pieces for Beyoncé’s wardrobe.   Likewise, Emilio Pucci creative director Peter Dundas and Dsquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten, and Ralph and Russo are also said to have collaborated with the pop idol.   Footwear impresario Stuart Weitzman contributed the entirety of the dancing diva’s shoes.

After shimmying and strutting in the racy fringe-lined, sequin-covered piece, Beyoncé slipped into a second bodysuit.   He told People magazine:’I’ve been doing shoes for so long for her, we’ve learned what she needs,’  that includes heels ‘of a special width for her to dance on’ rubberized soles ‘so she’s not slippin’ and slidin’ around’ and extra padding inside.   He added: ‘She really is interested in the way the shoe feels on her foot.   ‘She absolutely has the impression of not being willing to suffer, no matter how the shoe looks on her foot.’

The singer put Weitzman’s shoes to work as she channeled Wonder Woman in a mesh-paneled bodysuit, which featured gold rope detailing and a PVC trimmed peplum skirt.

The ensemble also included a leather collar and matching wrist cuffs.   Later, a harem of dancers in complementary skirted suits flanked the Single Ladies performer.   A crimson gown fastened at the chest by a gold pendant provided a bold pop of colour to an otherwise monochrome collection.

Still, black-based bodysuits seem to be the Halo crooner’s go-to ensemble, as she strutted in two more such pieces before ending the evening.   One piece provided full-body coverage, allowing Beyoncé’s voice to shine as she was illuminated by a single spotlight.

Meanwhile, another star-studded suit featured a waist-cinching belt and accentuated the singer’s shapely legs.

Beyoncé has 64 more shows on the tour which will see her travel across Europe, North America and South America.

The Crazy In Love hitmaker had been due to play eight English shows starting April 29th and more May, but following popular demand she has now added three more gigs to her tour.

Beyonce’s UK itinerary now includes additional appearances at London’s The O2 on 4 and 5 May, and the Manchester Arena on 9 May.

This brings the pop sensation’s total number of shows in London to six and Manchester to three.   She will also perform two gigs in Birmingham.  The former Destiny’s Child singer will then take a month’s break before returning to the stage at Los Angeles’ Staples Center on 28 June.   Beyonce will perform on 3 August in her spouse’s hometown of Brooklyn, New York.   Australia, Asia and Latin America will be included on the second leg of the tour, which will run for over a year.   Her last show is scheduled for September 13 in Brazil.

Beyoncé said of the campaign: ‘I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind.   ‘It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.’

Donald Schneider, Creative Director of H&M, added: ‘H&M’s summer campaign starring Beyoncé is an epic fantasy, with glamour, drama and also a sense of paradise.   ‘It was amazing to watch her on the shoot make it all look effortless – a quality that makes her such an icon for women around the world. The campaign is the essence of Beyoncé, and also the essence of H&M this summer.’   And Ann-Sofie Johansson, Head of Design for H&M, said: ‘In the campaign Beyoncé is wearing the key pieces from H&M you need for life in the sun this summer.

‘There’s the perfect bodycon dress, as well as a flowing sun dress that makes a real statement. And of course there are the bikinis, especially the fringed bikini.

‘What makes these pieces even more special is that Beyoncé herself had input into the design, and they are full of her own personal style.’   The images of the singer, which will be featured on billboards and editorial adverts worldwide, see her billed as Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M – referring to the star’s upcoming Mrs. Carter world tour.   The new H&M campaign will hit stores and online from May, and features swimwear and beachwear pieces as well as a tie-dye bikini from the H&M for Water collection.

And the lyrics include the lines: ‘I know when you were little girls you dreamt of being in my world. Don’t forget it. Respect that. Bow Down b******.’

The three minute, 34 second clip also includes: ‘I took my time to live my life but don’t think I’m just his little wife. Don’t get it twisted this is my sh*t.’

British fans might be familiar with some of the music in the second portion of the recording,  a snippet of which accompanies the 02 Priority adverts filmed to promote the singer’s UK tour  dates.

The music is actually sections from two different songs, Bow Down is said to have been produced by Hit-Boy and Beyoncé is said to have worked with Timbaland on I Been On.

While the braggadocious new track addresses her absence from the music industry and asserts  her authority as Queen Bee of the charts, the content of the music is already causing controversy and dividing fans.

While the braggadocious new track addresses her absence from the music industry and asserts her authority as Queen Bee of the charts, the content of the music is already causing controversy and dividing fans.

One listener wrote on Twitter: ‘This song makes no sense, is randomly offensive, and is way out of Beyonce’s lane.’

Another fan tweeted: ‘how can u sing at the presidents inauguration then release this disgusting, offensive song @beyonce? I’m genuinely shocked.’ (sic)

Other comments included: ‘The new Beyonce song is horrid. Unnecessary swearing, offensive misogynistic referencing of women, and terrible music and vocals. 0/1000.’

And another: ‘So much for female empowerment.’   And Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills who tweeted: ‘Is that Beyonce song a joke?’

Plenty of the Destiny’s Child star’s fans welcomed the new music with one listener writing: ‘Sorry I’m not sorry that @beyonce is a trend-setter and doesn’t sound like everyone else.  It’s about changing the game #beyhive.’

But some fans suggested that the singer hadn’t gone far enough and if she was a male music artist she wouldn’t be on the end of such criticism.   One fan posted: ‘Miss me with the “she’s so arrogant” mess. Were she a man, this would scarcely be an issue. Beyonce isn’t arrogant enough. #BowDown’ (sic).
